Third time's a charm!
As Sun Tzu once said, "All dodgeball is deception." We're making that the theme of our third Chicago Dodgeball Tournament this time. What does that mean for you?
In addition to playing with the lights off (that is, unless you count lasers as lights), we've decided that we're going to replace one dodgeball during each match with a poisonous sea urchin. We'll also be randomly releasing dogs and/or bees and/or dogs with bees in their mouths so when they bark they shoot bees at you throughout the tournament. You'll have plenty of time to prepare for these occurrences though, as each instance will be preceded by a viking horn blast and the MC announcing 'this is Sparta.' In the (dodgeball) industry, this is referred to as 'XTREME Dodgeball.'
If you're interested in the actual rules...
- Teams will be limited to 10 players on the floor at once, with no limit on the number of substitutions available
- All team members must be an employee of a participating organization
- Each match will last 5 minutes
