Last week, Mayor Rahm Emanuel held a press conference at Braintree HQ to highlight our growth and Chicago's burgeoning tech sector. It's not every day that we get to welcome a former White House Chief of Staff so we may have gone a little overboard on the picture taking.
Here are just a few of our favorite moments:
The day started early with media and the Mayor both joining us for a morning meeting. Mayor Emanuel was particularly interested in how everyone got to work each day and where each person went to school.
We fully expect to see Mayor Emanuel sporting his new Braintree shirt around town.
Our developer Drew showing the Mayor “Brainiac,” a homebuilt digital dashboard that the team created. Drew was excited for the opportunity, and after years of wearing only v-necks, we finally witnessed him dressed in a button-down.
Wow, this is way cooler than city hall.
As the Mayor prepared for the start of the press conference, he made a point to introduce himself to every ‘Treep.
There were no shortage of smiles during Mayor Emanuel's visit. He was engaging, approachable, and genuinely interested in the projects we are working on. We look forward to partnering with the City of Chicago on initiatives that will raise the city's profile as a thriving tech hub.
