We process all the major card brands; Visa, MC, Discover, American Express, Diners Club and JCB from anywhere in the world. You can process one off transactions, recurring billing transactions, verifications and refunds using our Control Panel or API. We handle this for merchants with one or more merchant accounts.
We want to make integrating with Braintree as easy as possible, so we have built our client libraries in 7 languages. We currently support Ruby, Java, .Net, Python, PHP, Node, and Perl, with more to come in the future.
By using our Transparent Redirect (TR) and Vault, merchants can achieve PCI Compliance in days. TR and the Vault will eliminate the handling, processing or storing credit card data so you can qualify for the Self Assessment Questionnaire A, the shortest of the four SAQs all while still allowing you to have all the same functionality and retain control of your data.
By using the Braintree vault, tokens are used in place of credit cards. You have the flexibility to create your own token, or we will generate one for you. You will have the ability store multiple credit cards per customer in the vault. The vault also offers storage of other customer data as well such as address and custom fields.
You also have the option for us to generate a Luhn valid token. The token that we generate will start with the first digit as the actual credit card number, and the last 4 digits of the token will match the last 4 digits of the actual credit card number. With this in place, you can successfully integrate your legacy system with the Braintree vault.
To help mitigate your exposure to fraud, we offer a suite of fraud detection tools at no extra charge. That includes AVS and CVV checks which can be customized based on transaction attributes.
Real time reporting with access to your transaction, subscription, settlement and vault data. You can view this data in the Control Panel or query for it using the API. For internal reporting needs you have the ability to create custom fields for customers and transactions.
In our control panel, we make it easy for you to create users and configure their roles. You can also set up different types of processing rules for things like duplicate transaction checking and email receipts.
We would be sad if you decided to leave Braintree, but if for some reason you did, you wouldn’t have to worry about getting your customer data. Braintree is the founder and member of Credit Card Data Portability.
