A Control Panel is a web based interface to perform all relevant functions of credit card and echeck processing. Here is a Quick Glance of capabilites:

• Process voids and returns
• Generate transaction reports
• Establish security and fraud rules
• Maintain AVS and CVV acceptance and denial rules
• Add customers to Braintree’s Vault (creating a unique token) to eliminate credit card data from the environment

Similar Capabilities to Payment Processing via API

Merchants can perform nearly all the same functions through the control panel as can be done via our API. The control panel is useful in call center environments, customer support, remote sales and reporting and reconciliation.

PCI Compliance and Credit Card Security

Merchants can increase credit card data security and simplify PCI Compliance by entering credit card information directly into the control panel. All credit card information is securely stored and can only be seen by users that have special permissions – preventing the threat of employee fraud. Credit card information cannot be stolen from a merchant environment if it’s not present.

Remote Storage of Credit Card Information

Merchants can not only process credit card transactions through the control panel but also remotely store it for future use. Using Braintree’s Vault, merchants can submit credit card details and receive in return a unique Token ID which can be kept within a merchant environment and used to process subsequent transactions. Tokens are worthless to criminals.
